NEW YOGI CHECKLIST
If this is your first class, please fill out a registration form, which you can either bring with you or fill out when you arrive.
Make sure you note any special health conditions such as illnesses, injuries and physical restrictions on the form. If you have a health condition that might affect your practice, please make sure to check with your doctor prior to practicing.
Registration for classes is not necessary but is encouraged.
Registration for events is sometimes required and always recommended.
There are blankets, blocks, bolsters and straps to help you achieve the safest, most optimal posture possible. Please bring your own yoga mat.
If you're new to yoga, you'll probably find Breathe & Stretch, Slow Flow or SBF Yoga most suitable for your first experience. However, individual student needs vary, so please call, text or email Susan for a recommendation. Private lessons are also highly recommended for students new to yoga.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early and don't leave class early.
Turn off cell phones.
Please remove shoes before entering the sanctuary
Dress in comfortable, relatively form-fitting clothes that allow for movement.
Practicing barefoot is recommended.
Practicing on a light stomach is recommended.
Do what you can without straining or injuring yourself. (No pain! No pain!)
Please pick up and neatly put away any props you use.
With consistent practice, you will improve more quickly than you think!
I love talking about yoga and am happy to answer your questions any time!
