What first brought you to yoga and how long have you been practicing? 

I first came to Yoga to seek relaxation and to help lower my blood pressure.  That was about 8 years ago. 

What is/are your intention(s) for your yoga practice?

To improve flexibility and, especially, balance. 

What is your favorite pose and why?

My favorite pose is child’s pose because it relieves tension. 

What is your favorite class at InsideOut Yoga?

Slow Flow.  The intensity level is just right for me.  Some poses I can do easily and others pose are a challenge. 

How has the practice of yoga influenced your life?

Although I came to Yoga for relaxation, I’ve found that it has improved my balance significantly. 

What advice would you have for a beginning yoga student?

Don’t be scared. You’ll find that you can do as much or as little as you want and nobody will give you a dirty look. 

What is your occupation?

I am retired. 

What activities do you enjoy?

I love to travel and have been lucky to have been all over the world. 

What is your favorite thing about living in the Northern Neck or Middle Peninsula?

At first it was the scenery and the water, but now it’s definitely the people.

Is there anything you want to add?

I love my Yoga practices but, most of all, I love my fellow yogis.
